Waterhouses and District Bowling Club

The club was formed early in the 2000s when a group of volunteers
renovated the bowling green, which had been disused for decades.  A constitution was agreed (a copy of the constitution is available in a new page by clicking here: Club Constitution and Rules) and the club began playing friendly matches against other clubs in the region.

In 2015 the club  joined the Uttoxeter Saturday League, achieving
promotion to division 2 in 2017 and remaining in that division at the end of 2018.  Unfortunately the restructuring of the league into two divisions meant that they were placed in the lower division in 2019, but achieved promotion into division 1 for 2020. The arrival of COVID-19 meant that no matches took place in 2020 and a subsequent restructuring of the two divisions meant that the team stayed in division 2, finishing mid-table in 2021 and 2022.

An over-55s league team plays primarily on Tuesdays each week during the season and was placed 8th out of 12 teams in 2022.

All members are welcome to friendly matches and to the weekly club sessions on Mondays from 5pm from April to October.

Members and their guests are encouraged to use the green at any time, provided no matches are scheduled.
